Implement physician orders and ensure timely, accurate documentation and communication.

Maintain accurate and complete medication administration records (MAR), treatment administration records (TAR), nursing notes, and other required documentation.

Monitor patients for medication effectiveness, adverse reactions, and treatment complications.

Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and continuity-of-care processes.

Communicate effectively with physicians, pharmacies, laboratories, respiratory therapists, families, and other healthcare professionals as appropriate.

Follow infection prevention and control protocols, including standard and transmission-based precautions.

Provide direction to CNAs regarding assigned patient care tasks and communicate concerns to supervising nursing staff.

Participate in shift reports, interdisciplinary team meetings, care plan implementation, and quality improvement activities.

Maintain medication security, accurate medication counts, and compliance with controlled-substance procedures.

Respond appropriately to emergencies and initiate interventions consistent with training, scope of practice, and facility protocols.

Maintain patient dignity, confidentiality, safety, and compliance with resident rights.

Perform additional nursing duties as assigned within the LVN scope of practice.

Ability to administer medications safely and follow established physician orders and nursing protocols.

Familiarity with electronic medical records and medication administration documentation preferred.
