Requirements & Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Proven experience in Medical-Surgical nursing and General Care Unit (GCU) settings
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage multiple patient needs effectively
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to comply with hospital policies and protocols
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in Med Surg GCU
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to appropriate healthcare team members
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families regarding health maintenance and disease prevention
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in patient medical records
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Nebraska
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Med Surg or similar acute care environment preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate: $62.00 - $73.00
