We are actively seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Radiology / Cardiology Ultrasound Technologist to become an integral part of our multispecialty team. Shift & Schedule

  • Day Shift: 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts
  • Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Requirements & Skills

  • Proficient in charting using Epic system (Required)
  • Current and valid certification: ARDMS, ARDMS VT, CCI, or RDCS
  • BLS certification
  • Comprehensive ultrasound skills across multiple specialties including:
    • OB/GYN: 1st, 2nd, 3rd trimester, Amniotic Fluid Index, Fetal Anatomical Survey, Placenta Previa
    • Fetal Ultrasound: Abdomen, Abdominal Circumference, Bone Lengths, Cerebellum, Ventricles, Diaphragm, Duodenal Atresia/Intussusception, Fingers/Toes, Gender, Head, Heart
    • Neonatal Ultrasound: Abdomen, Duodenal Atresia/Intussusception, Head (required), Hips (required), Renal, Spine (required)
    • General Ultrasound: Abdominal Aorta, Appendix, Breast (required), Gallbladder, Liver, Pancreas, Pediatric Abdomen/Pelvis, Spleen
    • Vascular Imaging: Aorta, Carotid, Color Flow, Doppler Studies, Duplex, Lower & Upper Extremity Arterial & Venous, M-Mode, Renal Artery Duplex
    • Renal/Pelvis Imaging: Bladder, Hernia, Ovaries, Renal/Bladder, Transvaginal, Uterus, Vaginal
    • Small Parts Ultrasound: Breast Ultrasound (required), Superficial Masses, Testicles/Scrotum, Thyroid
    • Transplant Studies: Liver (required), Renal (required)
    • Procedures: Paracentesis (required), Ultrasound Guided Biopsy/Fine Needle Aspiration (required)
    • Additional Skills: Adult Echo, Contrast Echo, Echo Stress - Treadmill
  • Familiarity with equipment: GE ultrasound machines and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
  • Adherence to isolation precautions and appropriate use of PPE
  • Ability to work in diverse settings including Adult, Emergency Department, High Risk OB, ICU, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and Portables
  • No travel experience required

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive ultrasound examinations in multispecialty areas including radiology and cardiology applications, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging.
  • Utilize advanced techniques to conduct fetal, neonatal, vascular, transplant, and small parts ultrasound studies in compliance with clinical protocols.
  • Prepare and position patients appropriately for exams while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
  • Accurately document and chart findings using the Epic system, ensuring timely and thorough record-keeping.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment such as GE systems and PACS to deliver optimal imaging results.
  • Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures including biopsies, paracentesis, and fine needle aspirations.
  • Maintain knowledge of isolation precautions and consistently use personal protective equipment to ensure safety of patients and staff.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across various departments to support patient care delivery.

Qualifications

  • Current certification from ARDMS, ARDMS VT, CCI, or RDCS
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Epic charting system
  • Strong background performing multi-specialty ultrasound examinations and procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on compassionate patient care
  • Ability to work efficiently within a day shift, 4x10-hour schedule
  • Commitment to maintaining professional knowledge and compliance with healthcare safety standards
