Requirements & Skills
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required
- Proven experience in inpatient clinical nutrition and dietetics
- Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy principles
- Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nutrition care plans for hospitalized patients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and interdisciplinary team interactions
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation standards
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for inpatient populations
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on diagnoses and patient needs
- Monitor patient progress and adjust nutritional plans accordingly
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Current RD or RDN license in good standing
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Completion of an accredited dietetic internship or equivalent supervised practice program
- Experience working in inpatient healthcare settings preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive hourly rate of $57.00 - $67.00
