Requirements & Skills
- Proven experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist or similar role in radiologic technology
- Certification and licensure in Radiologic Technology as required by state law
- Strong knowledge of vascular and interventional radiology procedures
- Proficiency with imaging equipment and operational protocols
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining sterile techniques and safety standards
Key Responsibilities
- Operate imaging equipment to assist physicians in performing interventional radiology procedures safely and effectively
- Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, ensuring optimal imaging quality and patient comfort
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging systems and technology
- Collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals during vascular and interventional procedures
- Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and respond to any emergencies or complications
- Document procedures, patient care, and imaging results accurately and thoroughly
- Adhere to all health, safety, and infection control protocols within the department
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography, with Interventional Radiology credentials preferred
- Valid state licensure to practice as an IR Technologist in Wisconsin
- Experience in vascular or interventional radiology environments
- Strong critical thinking and technical skills related to imaging and patient safety
- Professionalism and compassion in patient interactions
Compensation: Hourly rate ranging from $78.00 to $92.00, reflecting experience and qualifications.
