Join Our Team as a Radiology / Cardiology CT Technologist in Everett, WA

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Radiology / Cardiology professional to join our team as a CT Technologist. Shift & Schedule

  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Requirements & Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in CT technology
  • Proficient with charting systems, specifically Epic
  • Experience in Trauma Level II care (required)
  • Experience in trauma Level I care, teaching hospital, and community hospital preferred
  • No travel experience required (Note: 1st time travelers must have at least 2 years of experience)
  • Certifications: ARRT CT, ARRT R, and BLS required
  • Expertise in image display and post processing techniques, including:
    • 3D rendering: Maximum intensity projection, surface shaded displays, volume rendering
    • Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP)
    • Region of interest (ROI) measurement
  • Proficient in abdomen and pelvis imaging studies including:
    • Abdomen with/without contrast
    • Colorectal studies with rectal contrast
    • Enterography study
    • Intravenous pyelogram
    • Pelvis with/without contrast
  • Experience across various work settings, including:
    • Adult Acute and Outpatient Care
    • Emergency Department and ICU
    • Level I and Level II Trauma Centers
    • Pediatric Acute and Outpatient Care (required)
  • Performed special procedures including but not limited to:
    • Aspirations and biopsies
    • Colonography or virtual colonography
    • CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, PET CT
    • Radiation therapy planning, transplant studies, vascular CTA
  • Head and neck imaging expertise including carotid, head, sinuses, soft tissue neck, and trauma head scans
  • Proficient in spine and musculoskeletal imaging including cervical, lumbar, thoracic, and musculoskeletal trauma
  • Chest imaging skills including heart calcium scoring, coronary angiography, vascular chest studies such as pulmonary embolism CTA and aorta imaging (required)
  • Experience with equipment including GE, PACS, and Philips systems (Philips required)
  • Professional knowledge in:
    • Isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE)
    • Preparation and administration of contrast media
    • Radiation safety protocols
    • Starting peripheral IVs and venipuncture (required)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures in compliance with department protocols and safety standards
  • Conduct complex imaging studies across various anatomical regions including abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal systems
  • Utilize advanced post-processing techniques to create detailed 3D renderings, multiplanar reconstructions, and region of interest measurements
  • Carry out specialized imaging procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, CT arthrography, PET CT, and vascular CTA
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Epic and other charting systems
  • Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and utilize PPE appropriately to protect patients and staff
  • Prepare and administer contrast media, and manage IV access through venipuncture and peripheral IV insertion
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in acute care, emergency, ICU, and trauma settings to optimize patient care
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and operated according to manufacturer and departmental standards, especially Philips, GE, and PACS systems
  • Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory policies

Qualifications

  • Current ARRT certification in CT and Radiography (ARRT CT, ARRT R)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum 1 year of CT technologist experience, with preference for trauma Level II experience
  • Skilled in advanced imaging and post-processing techniques
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a healthcare team in fast-paced environments
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality patient care and safety
  • Familiarity with Epic charting system and medical imaging equipment such as Philips and GE
  • Ability to manage pediatric and adult patient populations across multiple care settings
