Shift & Schedule
Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5x8 hours)
Requirements & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in radiologic technology
- Proficient in Epic charting system (required)
- Experience working in a community hospital setting (required)
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT - Registered)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficient in imaging procedures including abdomen/GI, lower and upper extremities, chest and thorax, spine, pelvis, and head
- Expertise in performing enema studies, specifically barium enema with air contrast and single contrast (required)
- Knowledge and experience with fluoroscopy studies such as barium swallow, contrast enema, and upper GI series
- Capable of conducting mobile/surgical imaging including C-Arm procedures, and portable abdomen and chest imaging
- Comfortable working in diverse settings including Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient (required), Emergency Department, ICU, NICU, Operating Room, and PICU
- Proficient with imaging equipment including GE and Toshiba systems (both required), PACS, and Fuji Synapse software (required)
- Ability to prepare and administer contrast media
- Skilled in starting peripheral intravenous lines (required)
- Travel experience is not required for this position
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple modalities including radiography and fluoroscopy with attention to patient safety and comfort
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment such as GE and Toshiba systems, PACS, and Fuji Synapse software ensuring optimal functionality
- Prepare and administer contrast media as part of patient imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols
- Initiate peripheral IV lines when required for diagnostic testing or patient care
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver timely, accurate imaging services supporting diagnosis and treatment
- Document patient information and imaging results accurately in the Epic charting system
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control policies to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
- Adapt to varied work settings including emergency departments, ICUs, and surgical suites to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain continuing education and certification requirements as mandated by regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist certification
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum one year of relevant clinical experience in diagnostic imaging in a community hospital setting
- Proficient with Epic electronic health records system
- Demonstrated competency with GE and Toshiba radiographic equipment and PACS technology
- Strong technical skills in abdominal, extremity, spinal, chest, and head imaging procedures including advanced fluoroscopy
- Competent in patient IV line starts and contrast media preparation
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation capabilities
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive hourly rate ranging from $54.00 to $64.00.
