Requirements & Skills
- Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota
- Proven clinical experience in Obstetrics (OB) and Labor & Delivery (L&D) nursing
- Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills related to maternal and newborn health
- Effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with a variety of monitoring and delivery equipment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing clinical needs and emergent situations
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
- Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs continuously and respond appropriately to changes
- Assist physicians and midwives during delivery and related procedures
- Educate patients and families about prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care
- Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with clinical guidelines
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in Minnesota
- Experience or certification in OB/Labor & Delivery nursing preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to provide empathetic patient care
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Compensation & Benefits
