Shift & Schedule:
- Flexible shifts available in the OB/L&D unit
- Schedule tailored to meet the needs of both the unit and nurse, with potential for day and night shifts
Requirements & Skills:
- Current and valid RN license in the state of Minnesota
- Experience in Obstetrics and Labor & Delivery nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to manage maternal and neonatal care
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to handle fast-paced, high-acuity situations with professionalism and calm
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
- Dedication to providing patient-centered, compassionate care
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to women in labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
- Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Assist with deliveries, including emergencies, and provide newborn care as required
- Educate and support patients and families regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Ensure a safe, comforting environment for patients and their families
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Minnesota
- Experience in Labor & Delivery nursing is highly desirable
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong clinical knowledge of maternal and neonatal care
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
