Schedule
Day Shift | Monday to Friday
7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (5x8 hour shifts)
Requirements & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a large hospital facility similar to Providence Saint Vincent (preferred)
- Experience with Epic charting system (preferred)
- Teaching hospital experience (preferred)
- Community hospital experience (preferred)
- Travel experience not required; preference given to candidates from large hospital settings
- Certifications: ARRT Registered (R), BLS, Fluoroscopy Permit (required)
- Skills in radiographic imaging of:
- Abdomen/GI: Abdomen decubitus, Abdomen supine (KUB), Abdomen upright
- Upper Extremity: AC joints (required), Clavicle, Elbow, Forearm, Hand, Humerus, Scapula, Shoulder, Thumb or finger, Trauma shoulder/humerus (Scapular Y, Transthoracic Axial) (required), Trauma upper extremity non-shoulder (required), Wrist
- Lower Extremity: Ankle, Calcaneus (required), Femur, Foot, Knee, Patella (required), Tibia-fibula, Toes
- Enema Studies: Barium enema - air contrast (required), Barium enema - single contrast (required)
- Fluoroscopy Studies: Barium Swallow/Esophagus (required), Contrast Enema (required), ERCP (required), Upper GI series (required)
- Mobile/Surgical: C-Arm procedure, Portable abdomen, Portable chest
- Spine and Pelvis: Cervical Spine, Hip, Lumbar Spine, Pelvis, Sacrum and/or Coccyx (required), Thoracic Spine
- Chest and Thorax: Chest AP, Chest Lateral Decubitus, Chest routine, Upper Airway (soft tissue neck)
- Head: Facial bones (required), Orbits (required), Skull (required)
- Work experience in settings including Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient (required), Bedside/Portable Procedures, Emergency Department, ICU, NICU (required), Operating Room, Pediatric Acute and Outpatient Care
- Equipment proficiency with GE (required), O-ARM (required), PACS (required), Philips (required)
- Professional knowledge in Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/PPE, preparation and/or administration of contrast media, Radiation Safety
- Additional skills with Children's Hospital and Carestream systems (required)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality radiologic diagnostic examinations in accordance with established protocols in radiology and cardiology units
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment including GE, Philips, O-ARM, and PACS systems ensuring optimal patient safety and image quality
- Conduct fluoroscopic procedures such as Barium Swallow, ERCP, and Upper GI series as required, ensuring proper patient preparation and contrast administration
- Provide portable imaging services across multiple care settings including NICU, ICU, Emergency Department, and Operating Rooms
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety standards and infection prevention policies to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
- Perform imaging for trauma and non-trauma cases including specialized views of upper and lower extremities
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, assisting in patient care delivery while documenting procedures accurately in preferred charting systems
- Maintain current certifications and participate in continuing education to uphold clinical competencies
Qualifications
- Current ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist certification (R)
- Valid Fluoroscopy Permit and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum one year of experience in a large hospital or equivalent setting with proficiency in radiologic procedures outlined above
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in diverse clinical environments including pediatric and adult acute care
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety, infection control, and patient care standards
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in Epic charting system and Carestream imaging software is highly preferred
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive hourly rate from $53.00 to $63.00, commensurate with experience.
