Shift & Schedule
- Day Shift: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Therapy/Rehabilitation
- MBSS (Modified Barium Swallow Study) certification – Required
- Experience working in Acute Care settings
- No travel experience required
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech therapy evaluations and assessments for patients in an acute care environment
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patients’ speech, language, and swallowing function
- Utilize MBSS certification to perform instrumental swallow assessments accurately and safely
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and other therapists to promote holistic patient care
- Document patient progress thoroughly in compliance with regulatory standards
- Educate patients and their families on treatment goals, therapeutic techniques, and expectations
Qualifications
- Valid and current licensure as a Speech Therapist or equivalent credential
- Proven expertise in acute care speech therapy rehabilitation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and healthcare teams
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while managing a full caseload efficiently
