Requirements and Skills
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with specialization in Interventional Radiology or Vascular Technology
- Proficient in performing image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Strong knowledge of IR equipment, safety protocols, and radiation protection standards
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities
Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate imaging equipment for interventional radiology procedures
- Assist physicians during invasive imaging procedures by providing technical expertise and patient support
- Ensure patient safety and comfort while maintaining compliance with regulatory and safety standards
- Monitor and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring consistent performance and troubleshooting any technical issues
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient records
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes through effective communication and teamwork
Qualifications
- Valid ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with IR/Vascular Tech credentials
- Experience in interventional radiology preferred but not required; relevant clinical background is essential
- Strong understanding of anatomy, pathology, and imaging techniques relevant to interventional procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills
