We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Therapy/Rehabilitation professional to join our dynamic team. Shift & Schedule
- Day Shift: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (5 x 8-hour shifts)
Requirements & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in therapy/rehabilitation
- Proficiency with Epic charting system (required)
- BLS Certification (current and valid)
- Experience working within the following settings:
- Acute Care
- Outpatient Clinic (required)
- Rehabilitation Hospital (required)
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) (required)
- Assessment expertise including body mechanics
- Orthopedic care knowledge in managing:
- Cervicalgia (required)
- Low back pain (required)
- Post-op cervical surgery
- Post-op shoulder repair
- Post-op spinal surgery
- Spinal conditions (required)
- Total hip and knee replacements
- Gait training (required)
- Hip fractures/injuries (required)
- Neurologic rehabilitation experience including cognitive disorders, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s disease, post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
- Professional skills in developing and implementing home exercise programs and providing patient and family education
- Specialization in neurology and orthopedics (both required)
- Comprehensive documentation skills including assessments, evaluations, and discharge summaries (required)
- Proficient use of equipment and devices such as bed alarms, call lights, gait belts, hospital/specialty beds, and sliding boards (all required)
- Familiarity with billing under Commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare A (required)
- Travel experience is not required for this position
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough assessments and evaluations of patients’ physical status with a focus on body mechanics, orthopedic, and neurologic conditions
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans, including gait training and home exercise programs
- Provide expert rehabilitation therapy in acute care and outpatient settings, including SNFs and rehabilitation hospitals
- Manage patient care for a wide range of orthopedic and neurologic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation
- Document patient progress thoroughly and accurately in the Epic electronic health record system, including assessments, evaluations, and discharge summaries
- Utilize and maintain safety equipment and devices effectively to ensure patient and staff safety
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home care exercises, and recovery expectations to promote optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans
- Ensure compliance with billing processes for Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare A insurance
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist or appropriate therapy/rehabilitation credentials
- At least 1 year of therapy experience, with demonstrable expertise in acute care and outpatient clinical settings
- Current BLS Certification
- Skilled in Epic electronic health record system
- Strong clinical knowledge in orthopedics and neurology patient populations
- Excellent communication, education, and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Compensation & Additional Information
