We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiology / Cardiology Electrophysiology (EP) Technician to become an integral part of our specialized team. Shift Schedule
- Day Shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in EP Lab or Cardiac Cath Lab settings
- Proficient with Epic charting system (required)
- Certifications: ACLS, ARRT(R), BLS, OR LIC OBMI (all required)
- Expertise in Electrophysiology Studies including Arrhythmia Induction, Baseline Measurements, Cardiac Ablation, Conduction Studies, Electrophysiology Evaluation, Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure, and Pacemaker Insertion (all required)
- Experience working in Electrophysiology (EP) Lab environment
- Competent in use and maintenance of Fluoroscopy equipment and Philips systems
- Skillful in Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures including interpretation of dysrhythmias, laser-assisted procedures, Permanent Pacemaker Insertion (PPI), scrubbing procedures, and Watchman device handling (all required)
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and manage equipment inventory, ensure equipment maintenance, and stock supplies (all required)
- Proficient in procedural responsibilities such as EKG lead placement, preparation of access sites, maintaining sterile fields during scrubbing, and management of Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose) (all required)
- Strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control protocols
- No travel experience required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive electrophysiology procedures including arrhythmia induction, conduction studies, and cardiac ablations with precision and care
- Assist with placement and management of pacemakers and LAA closure devices
- Interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and support laser-assisted interventions
- Prepare patients and the EP Lab for procedures ensuring all equipment is functioning and supplies are adequately stocked
- Maintain sterile environment and apply infection control measures consistently throughout all procedures
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and inventory to ensure operational readiness
- Execute EKG lead placements and prepare access sites effectively to facilitate smooth procedure flow
- Utilize expertise in fluoroscopy and Philips systems during diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver exceptional cardiac care and optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current certifications: ACLS, ARRT(R), BLS, and OR LIC OBMI
- At least one year of experience supporting EP Lab or Cardiac Cath Lab procedures
- Proficiency with Epic charting system and related healthcare technologies
- Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms, electrophysiologic testing, and device implantation procedures
- Ability to maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control standards
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail
